An application for the Individual Permit for Waterfront Development/Coastal Wetlands, the Individual Permit for Flood Risk Areas and the Individual Permit for Freshwater Wetlands has been submitted to the Department of Protection of New Jersey Environment, Land Resources Protection Division for Highway 47 through the Big Timber Creek project located in the boroughs of Brooklawn and Westville.
The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) welcomes comments and any information you can provide regarding the proposed development and site.
Project includes replacement of Highway 47 bridge over Big Timber Creek and improvements to approach roadway including geometric improvements, utility relocations and drainage system reconstruction/upgrades .
The complete permit application package can be viewed either at the office of the municipal clerk of the municipality where the site being applied for is located, or by appointment at the ministry’s office in Trenton.
Comments can be submitted by June 22, 2022 to:
