Home renovation

Scott Underwood column: Did you do a cool house renovation? Tell us your story | Columns

If you’ve lived in Madison County long enough, you’ve almost certainly bonded with neighbors who, like you, take pride in their community and their homes.

Some spend hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars renovating these homes – sometimes for comfort and practicality, sometimes to adapt to life’s changing situations, and sometimes for pure aesthetics.

If you’ve done a really cool renovation to your home or know another Madison County resident who has, we want to share the story with the community via Madison, the Herald Bulletin’s quarterly lifestyle magazine. .

Send me your contact details and a brief description of the home renovation at [email protected]

Madison’s summer issue, due out in early May, will also feature tips for buying and selling a home, summer yard sprucing suggestions and a look at the fascinating Zillow Gone Wild website.

Also on the Madison pages is our popular content from each issue on travel, local events, Indiana festivals, wine, local history and more.

In addition to our restaurant ratings department, we will also be launching a new recipe broadcast. In this issue, we will focus on summer table rates.

If you have a recipe for a delicious appetizer, main course, or dessert that goes really well when it’s hot, send it to me, and we’ll consider it for publication. Include a photo of yourself, if you’re so inclined.

Many Herald Bulletin subscribers receive Madison with their newspaper. Others can get a free copy at various county outlets or at the HB office, 1133 Jackson St., Anderson, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Or, if you’d like Madison mailed to your house for just $15 a year, let us know.

While our staff are busy producing content for the magazine and generating news for heraldbulletin.com and the print editions of the Herald Bulletin, we are also working on the annual report.

The special sections of the annual report typically require about 40 pages to contain the dozens of stories about the progress of local business, education, government, health care, and other key factors in our community’s fortunes.

Sections of the annual report will be distributed with The Herald Bulletin in three weeks from today, March 28.

We also work on Discover Magazine in conjunction with the Anderson Madison County Visitors Bureau. This stylish magazine, distributed by the Visitors Bureau, highlights fun activities and interesting sites in our community.

While the magazine is aimed at people visiting Madison County, local residents are likely to learn something new.

The next issue of Discover will be available for distribution in early April.

Discover Editor Bob Blake joined our team in October. Bob is our digital editor, responsible for our website and social media engagement.

A veteran of news in newspapers and television, Bob is also involved in editorial and news coordination responsibilities. He can be reached at 765-640-4805 and [email protected]
